When you visit Munari Wines you will understand why the ‘Friends of Munari’ make this their destination venue every time they visit Heathcote. Munari Wines boasts a full range of wines to taste including Prosecco, Vermentino, Grenache Rosé, Cabernet and red blends & Dessert wines as well as the world famous ‘Heathcote Shiraz’. You’ll have the opportunity to taste the 94-point rated flagship ‘Ladys Pass’ Shiraz and understand how our wines demonstrate ‘terroir in full flight’ as acclaimed Wine Writer Campbell Mattinson once said. You may also like to purchase a glass or bottle of wine and enjoy it on the lawns surrounded by lush vines. We have picnic tables and umbrellas and are child and dog friendly.

Description

Enjoy Heathcote’s best kept secret when you visit the cellar door at Munari Wines situated just 7 minutes north of Heathcote. Step inside the historic, beautifully renovated stables and enjoy a full range of wines. Established in 1992, Adrian & Deborah Munari made the tree change from school teaching to grape growing and never looked back. Originally producing a Shiraz & a red blend (now known as the Schoolhouse Red) the portfolio has increased to include all styles of wine including sparkling, white, red and dessert wines. The vineyards are irrigated from our own dams and include the infamous Heathcote Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon & the newly grafted Italian grape, Sangiovese. Vermentino & Grenache grapes are sourced from nearby vineyards to complete the range and all wines are made in the winery onsite which was once the shearing shed for the working sheep farm that is now Munari Wines. The Cellar Door is open Friday – Sunday but a tasting can be arranged for another day if you call ahead.
